It isn't so bad, running a hotel owned by the firm. So long as you don't try to steal from them or lie to them, so long as you do your job and keep the place clean and tidy, they'll treat you better than a legit multinational chain ever would. You just have to live with a few... unusual... things. Like the fact that the only guests who get to stay in room 13 aren't there by choice. Like the gorgeous girl they brought in last night, barefoot, still in her jeans and just a bra. She'll be on the bed in room 13, tied hand a foot, her mouth filled with an unpleasant rubber ball-gag to muffle her screams (don't want the customers complaining, after all).

He wonders what she did. But he tries not to think of what they are going to do with her. Best not to know.
