There was something about the way Paige looked when she appeared for this set that was nagging away at the back of my mind. Some vague association with dimly-remembered Tarzan movies seen on daytime TV twenty years ago, of films that were pretty ancient even then. But no, that wasn't quite it, because those were in black and white. What I was remembering was the look and style of the early technicolor movies, that slightly larger-than-life colour and very glam look for the leading lady. Paige looked just like a technicolor Jungle Jane... so that's how I tried to capture her!
