Every hundred years, the Devil pays a visit to Dunstan Lodge. It's said that the Devil will appear in the guise that will most tempt the inhabitants, and that three hundred years ago, back in the time of Mad King George, the Devil appeared to tempt the Prince Regent while he overnighted here. Legend does not speak of the form that the Devil took that night... but the infernal shape chosen tonight is clearly selected with a view to tempting the socks off the poor curate who now owns the lodge!

Fortunately, the curate is not at home tonight. Tonight the lodge has been hired for a private party by the great Magician Zaladara, whose predilections might indeed run to the lesbian but whose discipline in her trade is considerably greater than the poor absent owner's. She prepared her chains and locks carefully, with sanctified back-ups should the enchantments prove inadequate. She even prepared a glyph-drawn gag to silence the Devil's honeyed tongue while she completes the ritual to compel the infernal being to spill the secrets of eternal youth!

Hywel's note: you may wonder at the inspiration for the diabolical little story that goes with this set. Natalia almost certainly will, since we didn't think of the story or anything close to it while we were shooting it! It comes from my internal set numbering system, whose numbers I reset a few years ago. We've just reached set 666, and when I saw that there were 66 photos in the set, it seemed like far too much of a coincidence to let slide!
